Cooper Koch in a light linen shirt at home

Well hello there

I’m Cooper. I like nice things, good stories and saying the quiet part out loud.

I’m a gay Texan, husband, Dad and professional over-sharer. I live in Dallas with Todd, Claire and Mason, where there is usually a project underway, something gorgeous in the garden and at least one opinion nobody asked me for.

The long version

I have spent a life making things more interesting.

For more than two decades, I have helped brands find the story worth telling through my company, Multistory Media. I also run He Said Dallas, a guide to the fun, fabulous and worth-knowing bits of this city. Cooped Up is the most personal version of all of it: a place to gather, laugh, compare notes and make life a little prettier.

In 2012, my family appeared in a JCPenney campaign that made a few professional pearl-clutchers very upset. Two dads, two great kids and a whole lot of love proved more scandalous than we could have imagined. I’ve been rooting for a bigger, warmer and more honest version of family ever since.

A life well lived should be funny, useful and beautifully overthought.
